My 1st blog
I'm in Denver.... in a hotel, I'm supposed to be in the air flying back home, but the flight was cancelled, I have to say, I have had loads of fun along side Becky and Carol today; and it was a good wind down after a challenging week, I am missing my boys and hubby loads though.
I guess it would make sense if you knew why I was in Denver, it all started with an invite from 'The Forge Community Church,' in Debenham, Suffolk. The outreach was to serve Bex Drake, (who works for an organisation called ODMinistries,) we were invited to support her mission and to work along side her.
Bex Drake has set up an Art studio, called EZRA. Her mission is to reach out to street kids, to invite them in to a warm friendly enviroment where if they choose they can do art, or just hang out, talk or chill. Part of her ministry is handing out coffee in the streets, and getting to know the street kids and another part is mentoring them; it has such a positive effect.
From my own experiance of working along side her I see the value of her work, its an amazing touch of love and compassion, and you can really see the touch of God, and how much he loves each one of us.
I could spend alot of time disecting the week, but I won't, all I will say is that from this experiance I feel completly humbled; it has been an emotional week, I have learnt alot, through it all I see Gods hand at work, I feel inspired and excited, and feel no other desire, but to follow him.
